ArtFelt Studio is a small, family-run business. We support local as much as possible and are very fortunate to have an operating mill within driving distance.
Most of the wool for our felting lessons from Custom Woolen Mills - a family run mill near Linden, Alberta. This place is amazing! Using equipment that is 50 to 120 years old, the wool is processed from bales of raw fleece into roving, batting, yarn and even knit socks! We highly recommend a visit to the mill where you can take yourself on their excellent self-guided tour and then pop in to the Kaleidoscope Gift Shop. If you can't make it in person - try their online shop.
